Tour
Individual arrival in Innsbruck, start the day early to experience as much as possible of your first day in Innsbruck. Take a walk through Innsbruck's beautiful old town with its famous Golden Roof and discover everything Innsbruck has to offer.
You leave the Tyrolean capital behind you and cycle through picturesque towns and villages to Strass at the entrance to the Zillertal. Enjoy the breathtaking mountain panorama and take time to visit the old town of Hall and the Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens. Take the train from Brixlegg to Kufstein, where you will spend the night today.
Leaving the mighty castle complex of Kufstein behind you, you now cycle into the Bavarian Alpine foothills. Mostly on the embankment and partly in alluvial forests, you cycle leisurely to Wasserburg. The special location in the river bend creates a unique townscape. With its historic old town, beautiful facades and narrow alleyways, Wasserburg is certainly one of the most beautiful towns on the Inn.
The route to Mühldorf leads through pleasant farmland, slightly away from the Inn, through small villages and beautiful hills. Enjoy the landscape and the wonderful views that await you. Your destination for today is Mühldorf am Innn. The long town square with its beautiful town houses is typical of Mühldorf.
Two special pilgrimage sites await you on this stage: Altötting, Bavaria's most important place of pilgrimage, and Marktl am Inn. The former Pope Benedict XVI comes from Marktl. Your journey continues along the Inn to Burghausen. Burghausen is home to the longest castle complex in Europe. After an extensive tour, you cycle on to Kirchdorf am Inn.
This section leads through the Lower Inn European nature reserve. The floodplain landscape with its extraordinary variety of plants is a breeding ground for numerous water birds. Pure nature as far as the eye can see. A little away from the river, you finally reach Bad Füssing. Enjoy the huge range of health and wellness facilities and bring your day of cycling to a relaxing close.
The journey to Passau is lined with picturesque Baroque towns: Obernberg with its beautiful market square, the magnificent Reichersberg Abbey and the Baroque town of Schärding with its Silberzeile. At the confluence of the Inn and Danube rivers, you have reached the destination of your journey: Passau. Passau is one of the most beautiful cities in Germany and numerous sights are waiting to be discovered and visited by you.
Unfortunately, your wonderful cycle tour along the River Inn ends here and it is time for your journey home. Take the train back to Innsbruck (train travel for passengers is included, own bikes are not included in the price). Would you like to extend your vacation? Then we will be happy to book additional nights for you.
