Individual arrival to Constance. Enjoy the Mediterranean climate when strolling through the winding alleys of the historic city. You can find the living Middle Ages at the Rosgartenmuseum. The cafeteria in the inner courtyard of the museum invites you to stay.
Off you go at last! You cycle past the World Heritage Site of Reichenau Island along the shores of the Untersee, through picturesque Swiss fishing villages to Stein am Rhein with its picturesque old town and frescoed medieval houses.
In category A, you will spend the night in Stein am Rhein, Gailingen or Wangen.
In category B you stay in Gailingen or Stein am Rhein.
Another day of new discoveries! Today you will cycle around the Höri peninsula and reach the spa town of Radolfzell. Look forward to the Radolfzell Minster and the Mettnau peninsula, one of the largest nature reserves on Lake Constance. Cycle past the Bodanrück with its numerous orchards and reach Bodmann and Ludwigshafen on Lake Überlingen. Visit St Nicholas' Minster in Überlingen or stroll along the pretty lakeside promenade.
In category A you stay in Überlingen.
In category B you stay in Ludwigshafen or Überlingen.
Today you cycle along the Obersee. The magnificent baroque pilgrimage church of Birnau beckons with a beautiful view of the lake. In Unteruhldingen you can visit the Pfahlbaumuseum, the oldest archaeological open-air museum in Germany. Meersburg is not only worth a visit because of its idyllic location, but also because of its many romantic corners and small alleyways. Don't just visit the castle, but also enjoy the flair of this lively town. The Zeppelin Museum in Friedrichshafen awaits your visit on the way. End the evening in Lindau at the harbour with a view of its famous landmarks, the Bavarian Lion and the lighthouse.
In category A you spend the night in Lindau or Kressbronn.
In category B you spend the night in Kressbronn or Nonnenhorn.
After just a few kilometres, you will be rolling through Austria to the festival town of Bregenz with its unique lake stage. You can take the cable car up the Pfänder and enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of Lake Constance. Cycle quickly through the nature reserve of the Rhine delta (the largest freshwater delta in Europe) to Höchst and on to Switzerland.
In category A, you will spend the night in Arbon.
In category B, you will spend the night in Höchst or Rorschach.
Through the Rhine delta, you continue to cycle to Switzerland. With little villages and huge friut farms, the Thurgau canton offers a great variety of diverse scenery. A dreamlike view of the Lake Constance and the impressive pre-Alps accompany you to Constance. At the SEA LIFE centre, you can plunge into a fascinating underwater world and discover the jungle and the rainforest. You can shorten the route from Romanshorn to Constance by 21 km with a train ride (on one's own).
After breakfast your round trip at Lake Constance comes to an end.

Arrival by train
Constance is easily accessible from all major cities in Germany by train. We recommend to take a taxi from the train station to get to our hotels in Constance. Current schedule and price information you will find at:
Parking facilities at the hotel
There are a few parking spaces available at the starting hotel (for a fee).
There is also the possibility of using free parking spaces on public roads or public car parks/parking garages.
Car parks (Fischmarkt, Dammgasse, Altstadt, Benediktinerplatz), cost approx. 25.00 € per day/car.
It is also possible to park your car in a fenced car park for the duration of the cycle tour (cost: € 49.00 per trip/per car). Reservation via Velociped is required.
Condition of cycle paths
You cycle on flat, paved bike trails near the shore around the lake mostly. Occasionally there are short sections of unpaved roads. The first sections takes place around the peninsula Höri through hilly terrain. In the area of Friedrichshafen, the bike path goes along the main road. The lakeshore is open to the public.
Available rental bikes
There are 8-speed touring bikes with hub gears and 27-speed touring bikes with derailleur gears (unisex) available, men's bikes can be booked from 1.75 m tall. All bikes are equipped with speedometers and handlebar bags. 8-speed electric bikes with freewheel are also available for booking.
Currencies in Switzerland
For Switzerland, we recommend to exchange Swiss franc. Although you can pay in euros. Franken can easily be lifted by debit or credit card at an ATM.
Extra costs which are not inculded in the price
Any tourist tax and charging fees for bicycle batteries are not included in the tour price and must therefore be paid at the hotel.

In case of chain breakdown, flooding makes it impossible to continue your tour or any other nasty surprise: you can reach us seven days a week and we will do anything to help you as fast as possible.
Passport and visa requirements
For EU citizens, there are no special passport or visa requirements and no health formalities to be considered for this trip.
Travel insurance
The tour price already includes the statutory insolvency insurance. In addition, we recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance upon receipt of your travel confirmation in order to protect yourself against financial disadvantages in the event of travel cancellation, interruption of travel, illness or accident.
