The Maritim Hotel Travemünde is located directly on the wide beach and the long promenade with a long tradition. Enjoy a unique view of the sea or the Trave from the 240 rooms, all with a balcony. On 1,100 sqm you will find not only an indoor pool and a Finnish sauna, but also a large relaxation area, a barrel sauna and a sanarium.

Individual travel to the Baltic Sea community Travemünde. Look forward to the charming beach promenade front row, where ice cream parlors lined up with boutiques. Visit the museum ship four-mast bark Passat, which was built in Hamburg in 1911, sailed around the world in 1938 and 1948 and circumnavigated Cape Hoorn 39 times. Now the Passat is anchored firmly in the port of Travemünd and invites you to visit. End your first day with a cosy dinner (included). If you have booked rental bikes, they are available for you at the hotel.

Step into the pedals in the morning and get to Lübeck via Ovendorf, Pöllendorf and the state-approved iodine salt and moor spa Bad Schwartau. Look forward to the historic Old Town of Lübeck, which has been a World Heritage Site since 1987 with its famous Holstentor, brick Gothic architecture and imposing Lübeck Town Hall. After a worthwhile stroll through the old town surrounded by the harbour, moats and ponds with charming shops and quaint restaurants, you cycle back to the hotel at Timmendorfer Strand.

In the morning you take the train (included) to Plön. The town with its famous castle is beautifully situated in the middle of the lake landscape of Holstein Switzerland. On today's bike tour you will discover charming places such as Malente, Eutin, Ratekau and Warnsdorf. Visit the imposing Eutin Castle. The four-winged complex is north German brick from the outside with entrance and south tower and offers a southern-looking courtyard with fountain. A moat around the building, which is situated directly on the lake and surrounded by a large English landscaped garden, makes the idyllic location perfect.

Today you follow the path parallel to the beach always along the edge of the forest to Boltenhagen. Don't miss a visit to the castle estate in Groß Schwansee from 1745. Then you cycle via Warnkenhagen and Redewisch to the second oldest Baltic Sea resort Boltenhagen. Enjoy a stroll along the spa promenade and relax on the beach from the bike tour. In the afternoon you will drive to Priwall, from where you will take a ferry (not included) to the hotel.

Start the day today and cycle over Warnsdorf and Lake Hemmelsdorfer See to the most famous beach in Germany - the Timmendorfer Strand. The beach offers fine white sand and crystal clear water. Let yourself be surprised by the special flair, because the entire town centre turns into an open-air lounge already in the morning. Afterwards you cycle along noble beach villas to Niendorf, a typical East Holstein fishing village with a picturesque fishing port. On the southwestern quay walls, weather-tanned fishing boats are just as firm as glittering luxury yachts. Enjoy a mix of fish stalls, cafes, concerts and many holidaymakers. Your subsequent cycle route takes you back to Travemünde via the up to 20 meters high Brodtener Steilufer.

Access by train
Travemünde can be reached by train from all major cities in Germany. The Maritim Strand Hotel Travemünde is located about 300 metres from Travemünde Train Station directly on the beach promenade.

Parking on site
Underground parking spaces are available directly at the hotel for 20,- EUR per day, no reservation required, payable on site at the hotel.
You will receive detailed information about parking facilities at the hotel booked for you with the detailed travel documents two weeks before the start of your trip.

Nature of cycle paths
They usually cycle on developed cycle paths and hardly used side roads, rather seldom on hiking and dirt roads. The terrain is mostly flat with slight hills.

Available rental bikes
There are 7-speed wheels (unisex) with hub gear and 21-speed wheels (unisex) with chain gear as well as electric bikes available.

Extra costs that are not included in the tour price
A possible tourist tax and charging fees for bicycle batteries are also not included in the tour price and must therefore be paid at the hotel on site.
