Kvarner Bay: MS Aria

You will make your own way to Rijeka. Boarding takes place at 12 noon in the port of Rijeka, where you will be welcomed by your tour guide. In the afternoon, the ship will take you to the island of Krk, where you will set off on your first bike tour. This round trip will take you to the town of Krk, the island's capital.

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, you will first cycle inland to Dobrinj and from there on to Vrbnik. This old town is perched high on a cliff on the east coast of Krk. The climb is rewarded with a fantastic view! The famous golden wine “Žlahtina” is grown in the surrounding vineyards. You will have the opportunity to have lunch in a cozy konoba before continuing your journey towards the town of Krk. Your ship will be waiting for you in the harbor.

The ship will take you to the island of Rab, which you will reach after a short crossing. You will continue by bike via Barbat to Pudarica Bay and back to the town of Rab, where the ship will be waiting for you for lunch against the picturesque backdrop of the old town with its four striking bell towers. After lunch, you will explore the 1,400-hectare Kalifront Forest Park, which impresses with its holm oaks that are up to 1,000 years old. After a break in the idyllic “Lovers' Bay,” you will cycle back to Rab. There, a guided tour of the town awaits you before you have the opportunity to dine in one of the restaurants.

The boat trip to Lun, located at the northernmost point of the neighboring island of Pag, takes only about half an hour. Pag fascinates with its contrasts – in parts, the landscape is reminiscent of a barren moonscape, while in others, lush green herb meadows shine, where numerous sheep graze, providing the famous Pag sheep's cheese. The bike tour takes you to Novalja, the main town in the north of the island, where you can take a break. After lunch on board, you will head for an idyllic bay, which is perfect for a long swim. The captain will then continue the journey and set course for the islands of Olib or Ilovik, where you will spend the night. In the evening, a festive captain's dinner awaits you on board.

Today, the route takes you to the green island of Lošinj, which delights visitors with its mild climate, aromatic pine forests, and long history as a traditional health resort. After arriving at the port of Mali Lošinj, you will hop on your bikes and explore the island's impressive natural landscape, which is known for its extensive pine forests. The bike tour takes you along the coast around Čikat Bay and through Sunčana Uvala (Sun Bay) to the picturesque harbor town of Veli Lošinj and back again. Afterwards, you have the option of dining at one of the restaurants in Mali Lošinj.

Today is “Two Islands Day.” After breakfast, hop back on your bikes and start the bike tour from Mali Lošinj towards Osor, where the islands of Lošinj and Cres are connected by a swing bridge. From there, cycle on through the villages of Belej and Vrana to the town of Cres, the island's capital. After lunch on board, you have the afternoon free – perfect for exploring one of the nearby beaches by bike, for example.

The last bike tour of the trip starts at the port and takes you along the coast to the green lantern, located on the south side of the entrance to the bay of Cres. After passing through the town, continue to the red lantern on the north side and follow the coastal path back to the ship. After lunch on board in Cres, the bikes are loaded for the last time. Afterwards, the ship leaves the port and heads to a bay in the north of the island, where you will have the opportunity to swim one last time in the beautiful blue Adriatic before the ship takes you back to Rijeka. Your last evening will be spent in one of the restaurants in Rijeka and with a last night on board.

Today your bike & boat journey through the Kvarner Bay ends after breakfast. Let the kitchen crew spoil you one last time before the check-out takes place until 09:00. After that, you start the individual journey home or the transfer to the airport.

The planned route is always subject to possible changes due to nautical, meteorological or organisational reasons. If, for example, a route cannot be travelled due to low water, high water, bad weather or construction work, the captain reserves the right to change the route for your safety. This is not a legally valid reason for cancelling the trip free of charge. The same applies in the event of officially ordered lock or bridge repairs or in the event of engine or propulsion damage to the ship through no fault of the captain.
As your ship usually sails to the next harbour on the same day, your time frame for your own activities and sightseeing is limited. On some bridges, the clearance height is so low that the sun deck is closed for your safety.
